Frederiksbjerg school Aarhus

Deze school is geheel ingericht vanuit een integrale beweegvisie. De school heeft meer dan 40 (!) sport- en beweegaanleidingen in gangen en gemeenschappelijke ruimtes laten plaatsen, zoals  Ninja modules, Ribber klimrekken en een renbaan.

In overeenstemming met de nieuwe Deense wet worden kinderen verplicht om minimaal 45 minuten per dag te bewegen in schooltijd (los van de gymnastieklessen!). De Frederiksbjergschool heeft drie specifieke ‘beweegruimtes’ voor kleuterklassen, basis- en middelbaar onderwijs. Deze school is daarmee de eerste nieuwe school in Denemarken die voldoet aan deze nieuwe wetgeving met een ontwerp, waar direct vanaf de start in iedere hoek de uitdaging ligt om te gaan bewegen.

Beweegschool De Twijn Alblasserdam

Als één van de eerste scholen in Nederland wordt Integraal Kindcentrum De Twijn in Alblasserdam een echte Beweegschool. De inrichting van de school sluit daarmee aan bij de visie van de school dat als kinderen meer in beweging komen ze ook betere motorische en cognitieve vaardigheden ontwikkelen.

De inrichting van het gebouw daagt de kinderen uit in beweging te komen. Zo is er een klim- en klauterwand naast de trap naar de verdieping en een ninjabaan boven een vangnet in de vide. Rondom de tribunetrap is een kleine renbaan gemarkeerd op de grond. De panelenwand van het speellokaal kan open blijven om zo ook het gebied rondom het speellokaal te betrekken bij de beweegactiviteiten. Op diverse plekken staan uitdagende beweegtoestellen.

Beweegschool Slovenie

Kenmerkend aan de Podgorje kleuterschool is de toekenning van de ruimtes: liefst 85% van het gehele oppervlak is bestemd voor spelen en bewegen. Kinderen worden aangemoedigd om fysiek en sociaal actief te zijn met een reeks uitnodigende designelementen.

Eén daarvan is een slingerende weg tussen de speelruimtes, die visueel verschillende ruimtes met elkaar verbindt en kinderen uitnodigt om deze te volgen (lopen, rennen, rijden op hun step of fiets). Er zijn speciale verkeersborden ontworpen die kinderen aanmoedigen om bewegingen van een bepaald dier op te volgen. De cheeta staat bijvoorbeeld voor snel en de slak voor langzaam.

Fuji Kindergarten

Het ovaalvormige dak van deze speelse kleuterschool stelt kinderen tussen 2 en 6 jaar in staat om vrij te bewegen. Er zijn bewust geen toestellen geplaatst. De visie van de architect is dat de creatie zelf een gigantische speelplaats is en genoeg uitnodigt tot bewegen. Kinderen worden zodoende aangemoedigd om te bewegen.

De school volgt de Montessori-methode, een educatieve benadering waarbij kinderen de vrijheid krijgen om zich rond de klas te begeven en te leren via ontdekking. In plaats van fysieke grenzen op te leggen aan de kinderen, ontwierp de architect de kleuterschool als een doorlopende ruimte die onbelemmerd leren en spelen mogelijk maakt.
